What Is the Difference Between Custom Made And Made to Measure Garments?

A truly custom-made suit is when the tailor/clothier measures the customer and makes a custom pattern specific to the person’s body measurements. Other concerns are taken into consideration. The posture, shoulder slope, bicep, thigh, chest shape, seat shape, and so on.

Made-to-measure is when a suit, sport coat, or dress pants are tried on a customer, and adjustments are made to the pattern. These garments tend to work well only on customers who fit into standard size clothing. They do not work out well for customers who have fit challenges.
