How is the woman’s tailored custom garment made?
With a lot of love and care. Each custom suit is painstakingly hand stitched by a master tailor. There are few custom clothiers left who know how to make a fine tailored woman’s garment.
Who will be taking my measurements?
You will be measured by Janine Giorgenti herself. Ms.Giorgenti, a fourth-generation clothing designer has decades of experience measuring and design woman’s custom made suits, dress slacks, skirts, tailored dresses, blazers and custom tailored dress shirts.
What should I wear for my first fitting?
We need to take close accurate measurements of your body. For this reason, we need you to wear tight fitting clothing. The best options are a proper fitting bra and a tight T- shirt or camisole. Tight fitting yoga pants, or leggings work best for measuring the waist, hips, thighs, knees and ankles.
How long does the measurement process take?
The measurement process takes about 45 minutes. Janine Giorgenti will measure what seams like every inch of your body, including shoulder slope and posture.
How do I choose my style?
Some customers have a design in mind, or a picture from Pinterest or Instagram, while others rely on our design expertise. We will assist you taking in mind your hair color, eye color and skin tone. We will also discuss which styles are the most flattering for your body type.
How do I choose my fabric?
Once we decide on a style, we will look at fabrics. GIORGENTI uses the best imported fabrics from world-renowned fabric mills. We have solids in dozens of colors, as well as fabrics of various textures and patterns, such as plaids, stripes, windowpane and more.
How many fittings are needed?
Our customers can expect 1-3 fittings. Any adjustments will be made inhouse. and you will be called back for a try-on.The adjustments are made inhouse, which takes a few days. You will then try on your suit and we will determine if it needs any further adjustments.
How long does it take to receive my garment?
It will take about five weeks until your first fitting and then there will be additional fittings.To be on the safe side allow eight weeks from start to finish.
How much does a women’s custom suitcost?
The cost is determined by the fabric and the style you choose. Generally, a suit (suit coat and pant, or suit coat and skirt, can cost between $1500 and $1,900. If you add a vest it is ¼ the cost of the suit. A blazer is ¾ the price of a suit and the pant or skirt is 1⁄3 the cost of the suit.
